Today was a day I truly enjoyed at work. I was able to see margarita, a patient of ours for many years. After introducing myself she told me “I want to keep my teeth because I love to eat” with a big grin on her face.
I had so many questions to as and so little time. She was born in Nova Scotia! She had me hooked. Her father was a boat builder and named his boats after his four daughters. She was born in 1907. Yes 110 years old!
Her body agreed with that number but her heart definitely did not! She had so much passion and enthusiasm in her voice. She left me with her secret to living a long and happy life. And it was simple but profound. I am grateful we crossed paths today.
